• Writing targets are kept in the back of the English books and the children are aware of the targets they need to achieve.
  • After each piece of extended writing targets are dated when they have been achieved. Children begin to see the targets they consistently miss.
  • Targets are used to inform teacher assessment and to also inform planning / gaps in learning for the next unit.
  • Staff meetings are held regularly to focus on writing moderation using these targets across the school with the Wolverhampton LA advisor.
