Your child will also be given a ‘Bug Club’ account which will enable them to access reading books online. Bug Club encourages readers to read at home with 164 fully decodable titles from our Bug Club Phonics programme and fiction and non-fiction print books, comics and graphic novels
Reading ‘Bug club’ books at home enable children to:
- Build up Reading stamina and Motivation to read books for longer.
- Read for Pleasure – Reluctant readers are motivated to read at home and pupils enjoy the fiction, topics, story content and illustrations.
Community curriculum driver: working together with families to read and share a variety of books at home.
