- ‘Live marking’ is included in extended writing lessons instead of a standalone editing lesson.
- Live marking’ (using a pink highlighter by the teacher) is used during the extended writing English lesson (for at least a paragraph for every child) to identify spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.
- ‘Live marking’ is also used for different groups of children during daily English lessons by the LSA and teacher. The teacher/LSA highlights in pink for children to edit their work with a purple pen.
- Year 1 ‘Live mark’ from spring term -1 group at a time are taught to edit up to 2 sentences of their work during English and Extended Writing lessons.
