At St Mary’s, we believe the best schools have a pupil led culture where children take on key leadership roles and get their voices heard. In addition to our usual RE Ambassador post, this year we have introduced a new leadership role called Pupil Chaplains. Here is some information on both of these roles in school and the names of the successful pupils taking on these important responsibilities.

RE Ambassadors

We are very proud and excited to introduce our RE Ambassadors for this year.

Jeremiah, Naeema, Ava-Renae, Manuela, Laila, Hannah, Parleen, Choice, Emmanuel, Bree, Ozzie, Julia, Clayton and Felicia.

The RE Ambassadors have an important role in school and use their initiative and own ideas to promote RE at St Mary’s. The RE Ambassadors ensure that they are role models in demonstrating our school mission statement and virtues.

The RE ambassadors attended regular meetings to talk about RE in school, monitor RE across school and suggest ways to improve the subject.

Pupil Chaplains

We are very proud and excited to introduce our Pupil Chaplains for this year.

Fancy, Yuvraj, Blessing, Orla, Mehakpreet, Debrah, Layla-Rose, Nathan and Katherine.

The Pupil Chaplains have an important role in school in demonstrating our school mission statement and virtues.

The role of the Pupil Chaplain is to help the school to be a community of faith, encouraging the pupils to live their faith in daily living. They support worship, prayer and the spiritual life of the school. The pupils are involved in fundraising for charities and continue to develop strong links with the Parish.
