Each class will look at different authors each term during reading for pleasure at the end of the day. This is an opportunity to celebrate a variety of authors from all backgrounds and promote a love of reading with our children.  These books are shared at the end of the day and children are encouraged to read other books or share books by the author. Each year group displays their author of the month outside their classroom showing the books they are reading each half term.

Year 4 – Fing Billionaire Boy by David Walliams

Year 5 – Holes & There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom by Louis Sachar

Year 6 – Pig Heart Boy & A Dangerous Game by Malorie Blackman
